My Rools:
1) Crop out the text when possible.
2) Take photos of images that grab my attention (which turns out to be most images most of the time).
3) Find images at the following locations: my house, Fry’s Food Mart, the laundry place, Mill Ave,  my studio, and the Music Library.

In response to this project:
Operation 24hr Photo (O24P) opened my (bleeding?) eyes to the sheer volume of images in our world.  It’s rare to find one that isn’t trying to sell something to someone somewhere.  However, it could be said that in most cases images are used to communicate some sort of idea to its viewer.  So, this realization isn’t much of a surprise. In comparison, art isn’t in a vacuum either.  Art images also communicate an ideas, whether the artist intended it or not.  But, the majority of the images we come across aren’t meant to be viewed in ‘art’ terms’. Someone said, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.  Maybe O24P shows that a thousand pictures are worth a few words.  Mine would be ‘HOT’ or ‘LOOKIT!’.  What is your word?
